At the JCK Las Vegas 2005 show, a wholesale retailer was looking at the exhibition stand of the Gulidov Krasnoyarsk Non-ferrous metals plant (Krastsvetmet) for a long time. She briefly explained her curiosity: “We specialize in selling jewelry pieces of platinum and palladium. These metals are considered the most progressive and hottest trends in the modern jewelry world. Many women around the world would like to have white metal jewelry. There is high demand, but very few producers. I really enjoyed the pieces of this Russian factory – the metal quality, the style, the modern forms; their prices, too, are lower than what our suppliers offer. I am certain that Krastsvetmet’s products will be in demand on the American market” - said Lee Jan from Taiwan Trade LLC company.

Today, Krastsvetmet is the largest facility in the world – and the only one in Russia – that specializes in refining gold, silver, and the platinum metals on a large-scale level. The gold ingots produced by Krastsvetmet are considered the best in Russia. At the London, the Tokyo, and the New York Stock Exchanges, the plant’s gold sells well and has a special status of good delivery. The guaranteed pureness of the metal is 99.99 %. At the present time, Krastsvetmet refines 95 % of Russia’s platinum, 40 % of Russia’s gold, and practically 100 % of the country’s palladium, iridium, rhodium, ruthenium, osmium.

In 1994, the plant created a full-cycle jewelry production line. Nearly a quarter of precious metal chains and necklaces that are sold in Russia come from Krastsvetmet. The plant is among industry leader in making jewelry from platinum and palladium.

One of the means through which Krastsvetmet has successfully integrated itself into the global economy is its compliance with the international ISO standard. In 2005, following an audit, the certificate of ISO quality compliance was once again renewed.

Krastsvetmet has business ties and partners in many countries throughout the world: the CIS countries, the U.S., England, South Africa, Germany, Switzerland, Canada, and Australia. The plant would like to establish closer connections with the American market.

Jewelry production is one of the most promising areas of all Krastvetmet’s lines of work. The jewelry line, started 11 years ago, uses modern equipment, tools, and technologies of the world’s leading brands. Within the last five years, the output of jewelry items at Krastsvetmet increased eleven times! The factory specializes in making pieces of 14K and 18K gold, standard 950 platinum, and standard 850 palladium. Krastsvetmet takes special pride for its chains and bracelets.

In 1997, at an international jewelry show in Moscow, Krastsvetmet for the first time presented unique gold nuggets decorations. Nuggets are a rather boring kind of metal – they do not glitter and do not lure the eye as does polished metal. Krasnoyarsk craftsmen created gold and platinum adornments to accompany nuggets. To one of the most prestigious jewelry shows in the world, Switzerland’s Baselworld – 2005, Krastsvetmet brought its exclusive adornment sets for platinum nuggets, which are very rare compared to their gold siblings. The collection had a huge success. The U.S. JCK Las Vegas 2005 show was yet another step for Krastsvetmet towards international recognition. Siberian jewelers, who always combine high artistic culture, taste, traditions, and innovations, are hopeful that their masterpieces will find admirers in the United States.
